Please join us in congratulating these exemplary individuals and sponsoring organizations as we work in unison to equip our future leaders and ensure the legacy of strong leadership within our community.
The R. Scott Hitt Foundation strives to advance public well-being through the development and training of socially conscious individuals to become the future leaders in gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community activism.
Dr. Hitt, the former Chair of President Clinton's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, was a community leader for multiple causes related to public health and social justice throughout his distinguished career. Dr. Hitt's work focused on HIV/AIDS treatment and advocacy, equal rights for the LGBT community, and increasing the presence and power of the LGBT community in legislative and political significance. The Scott Hitt Foundation, as Scott's personal final effort to change the world for the future, stands as a testament to his creativity and passion, and a fitting legacy of his ability to enrich our community.
